Our Story

Proxflyer AS has its roots as a small tech company that developed technologies for micro and nano helicopters, designed electrical motors and motor controllers, as well as other high-end sailing related technologies.

Technologies developed by Proxflyer formed the basis for the highly successful Black Hornet™ nano drone developed by Prox Dynamics (now Teledyne/FLIR) that is widely used in the US Army and by other users around the world. The core team of Proxflyer were fundamental in building Prox Dynamics into a strong sustained industrial business with world leading technologies.

Proxflyer AS was restructured in 2023 to support the development of high efficiency boats using active hydrofoils. The current team has broad experience in developing advanced autonomous technologies and bringing them from concepts to production.
